Reference Department
The Bethpage Public Library’s Reference Department provides programming and resources for adults of all ages, from college students to seniors. Our physical collection includes a wide selection of fiction and nonfiction titles, as well as media, board games, lawn games, and museum passes. Our digital collection covers everything from eBooks and audiobooks you can download to your phone to databases that can help with ancestry research or job hunting. We also host a variety of lectures and programs, including concerts, tax help, defensive driving, exercise classes, crafts, movies, and bus trips.

Join RapidReserves and you will automatically be placed on the wait list for your favorite authors! While we can't guarantee how quickly you'll get each book, extra copies of each title will be ordered in proportion to the number of reserves placed. Staff at the Bethpage Public Library will inform you when you have a new release to pick up.
This service is available to Bethpage Public Library cardholders only. Please pick up books when notified of their availability. Books not picked up within 5 days will go to the next patron.

Defensive Driving courses are being held once per month at the library through the National Safety Council, facilitated by instructor Marty Hirschfield.
This is your opportunity to save on insurance costs, deduct violation points, and learn safe driving techniques.
The class is from 9:30am-4pm on designated dates, with a $35 cost payable by check to Marty Hirschfield. The fee includes all course materials and certification. You MUST come into the library to register and pay for the class.
